Celebrating world culture through visual arts, music and dance!
In 2007 Angel Thacker developed the Dance Masters of Belly Dance to celebrate and honor the dance form she has come to love and those who have brought this art form to us through their passion over the decades. Her passions focused on the dancers who came up through the Seventies and Eighties. Over the time, it became clear to Angel and her network that there was a missed opportunity for learning and support that went beyond the belly dance genre. Most important, was that Angel's passions grew to focus on giving our younger population access to the richness and beauty our diverse cultures offer. So, after a great deal of consideration and discussion, the evolution began that moved the focus to be from exclusively belly dance to include all the wonderful dance and art forms that make up the world community!
Angel began a journey building on the idea of presenting performances and programs that; celebrate Global Cultural Theater Arts, encourage youth participation and that would include the participation and mentoring of active performers and instructors from the greater community.
